I arrived in NYC late in the evening, hailed a yellow cab (New York moment!) and headed over to my Airbnb apartment in the East Village. After getting very lost, an absent airbnb host, many expensive calls to my host and the search for a mystery cafe where the key was now waiting for me... I had arrived! A bit of a rough start to the trip but I made it!These tips about NYC taxis would've saved me so much trouble.
Airbnb is great! But make sure you follow these steps to ensure a smooth stay in your holiday home.
Don't get caught without snacks when flying, especially on long long haul flights. (Jetlag plus hunger sickness does not make for a happy traveller)
